Maxx Group, LLC is an independent insurance broker headquartered in Crestwood, Illinois.  Larry Hackett and Carl Cozen are the Managing Members of the brokerage, each with a unique background and experience within the industry.

Larry Hackett has been involved in the insurance industry for over 24 years as an insurance broker who focused primarily on the commercial insurance industry.  Fourteen years of Larry’s career were spent at a large, multiple lines agency, where he became the largest producer within the agency.  For the past eight years, Larry has served as the Chief Operating Officer for PalletMaxx, Inc. overseeing the day to day operations of the company and growing them into one of the largest distributors of new and reconditioned pallets across the country.  Although proficient in all lines of insurance, Larry’s specialties include the following industries: pallet / wood manufacturing, restaurants and commercial and residential contractors.

 

Carl Cozen has been involved in the insurance industry since 1997.  After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and obtaining a CPA certification shortly thereafter, Carl operated a captive insurance agency for 7 years.  Carl left the captive world to open an independent agency in 2004 that focused primarily on commercial insurance, but also served hundreds of clients and their personal insurance needs.  Carl’s accounting experience, and commercial insurance experience, provide a unique understanding of our client’s business operations and needs.  Industry specialties of Carl include, construction, restaurants, auto repair and commercial investment property.
